Three Sierra Leonean Youth Players In Turkey For Trials

Three youth players from the Star Sports Academy have arrived in Antalyaspor Turkey to train and undergo trails with the Antalyaspor FC U-19 team.

The three players Edward Bello Yilla (right back), Senesie Janneh (defensive midfielder) and Melvin Lebbie (center defender) departed Sierra Leone  last Friday 26th August together with their coach Musa Kpokawa.

The three players were first allowed to acclimatize to the weather in Turkey. The three players were scouted from the Detect tournament that was organized by Star Sports Academy management in Sierra Leone.

The three players attracted the eyes of two renowned football agents Bevan Dicks from Turkey and Peter Smith from Belgium who were in Sierra Leone to witness the tournament and scout players.

The two agents are international Football Agents who have taken several Africa young players to Asia, Europe and America. According to the media person of the Academy, Hawa Dauda the performance of the two players in the trials will let the agents come for more players based on what they saw during the Detect tournament in August 2023.
